Andreas Engesvik is a Norwegian designer whose work spans furniture, lighting and objects. Recognised as Designer of the Year in Norway, his work is grounded in a Scandinavian approach that he describes as bringing new perspectives to established categories.
Rather than pursuing novelty for its own sake, Engesvik often starts with recognisable objects and reworks their shape, scale or material. This can be seen in his work for Muuto, where familiar household objects are reduced to straightforward forms with particular attention to how they are used and experienced.
