LOUNGE design group: Form and Function in Seating
Alexander Grimm and Ronny Eysser founded LOUNGE Designgroup in Halle, Germany in 2006 after both studying product design at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design. Their experience spans multiple areas of product design, bringing a broad understanding of form, function and production to their furniture.
For TON, the studio designed the Rioja stool, a compact timber design characterised by clean lines, slender proportions and softly rounded edges. Available in different heights, the Rioja demonstrates the studio’s ability to reduce a familiar furniture form to its essential elements while giving close attention to proportion, construction and detail.
