View all DesignersEthnicraft: Contemporary Design, Natural Material
Established in Antwerp more than 30 years ago, Ethnicraft has developed a design language grounded in warm materials, thoughtful proportions and the relationship between form and function. Its contemporary approach gives equal importance to material and form, allowing the natural character of the timber to become an integral part of each design.
Wood remains central to Ethnicraft's identity, with oak and teak appearing extensively throughout its collections alongside mahogany and other materials. Grain, texture and natural variation are embraced as part of the design, giving each material a visible presence. This approach takes different forms across the collection, from the sculpted lines of Bok to the organic forms of PI and the more architectural character of its storage and occasional furniture.
Huset's Ethnicraft collection reflects the breadth of the brand, extending across dining tables and chairs, stools, benches, coffee and side tables, sideboards, shelving, consoles and bedroom furniture. Collections including Bok, PI, Spindle, Nordic, Shadow, Elements and Roller Max each bring a different expression to the range, connected by a consistent attention to material, proportion and function. Together, they demonstrate how Ethnicraft applies its design approach across different rooms and furniture types.
