Meet The Designer
Pagnon & Pelhaitre
Founded by Patrick Pagnon and Claude Pelhaître in 1980, Pagnon & Pelhaître is a French design studio working across furniture and architecture. Their furniture is characterised by strong geometric structures, softened curves and recurring details that create a recognisable design language across seating, tables and collections.
Pagnon & Pelhaître: A Language of Shape and Structure
Patrick Pagnon and Claude Pelhaitre established their Paris-based studio in 1980, bringing together backgrounds in decorative arts, furniture and architecture. Over more than four decades, the duo has developed furniture and architectural projects with an emphasis on contemporary shapes, precision and the relationship between different elements of a design.
Their long-standing collaboration with Fermob demonstrates this approach across outdoor furniture. Geometric structures are balanced by softer curves, while recurring bases, profiles and construction details establish a visual connection between seating and tables. The result is furniture that can serve different functions while retaining a clear family resemblance. Fermob's Bellevie collection is a particularly strong example, with its characteristic flat base and curved profiles carried across dining and lounge furniture.
