Tim Rundle: Adaptable Lighting
Tim Rundle combines technical knowledge with a drive to simplify complex ideas. Before establishing his studio in 2015, the New Zealand-born designer led furniture and lighting design at Tom Dixon and later served as Design Director at Conran and Partners. This experience informs an industrial approach that considers materials, manufacturing and technical development from the outset.
Adaptability is particularly relevant to Rundle's lighting. His work considers how lighting can respond to different spaces and changing ways of living, translating technical requirements into designs that remain visually simple and easy to use.
I think this is stronger than the previous version because the first paragraph now tells us why Tim Rundle has this technical perspective, rather than simply asserting that he does.
