Established in Melbourne in 2001, Feelgood Designs creates furniture around the relationship between material, craft and how a piece feels to use. Working with designers from Australia and around the world, the brand combines traditional making techniques with modern manufacturing to explore form, texture and comfort. Seating sits at the heart of the collection, with dining chairs, stools and lounge designs exploring different relationships between structure, woven surfaces and comfort.
Rattan plays an important role in the Feelgood Designs material language. Its strength and flexibility allow it to be bent and woven into curved, tactile forms, with natural variations contributing to the character of each piece. For outdoor settings, polyethylene weaving translates this visual language into a material suited to exterior use. Across designs such as Gorm, Kaki and C603, woven shells are paired with streamlined frames, while pieces such as Snug and Tornaux use rattan to create more sculptural lounge forms.
Huset's growing Feelgood Designs collection reflects the breadth of the brand across indoor and outdoor seating. Natural rattan dining chairs, stools, benches and lounge chairs sit alongside outdoor designs in woven polyethylene, creating a connection between the two settings through material, texture and form. The collection includes work by designers such as Allan Nøddebo, Dennis Abalos, Henrik Pedersen and Ximo Roca Diseño, each bringing a different approach to form, material and comfort within the Feelgood Designs collection.
