Even though Andres Lund and Jacob Rudbeck both run successful design firms of their own, Andres Lund Design and Jacob Rudbeck Design Consultancy respectively, one of their most memorable, well received and enduring efforts was a collaboration they undertook with Normann Copenhage to create the Bell lighting series. Normann Copenhagen has brought some of the most notable designers’ creations to the larger public.
With a feel that is both refined and primitive, the Bell lighting series, present first at Salon de Mobile, offers a iconic form remastered in an entirely new way. With a penchant for mixing sensory perceptions, Lund and Rudbeck used the iconic form of a bell, something that you normally hear to create a light, something which you normally see.
Great Danish design is ever present—past present and future. The clean lines, expert construction and economy of materials has long made Danish furniture design so highly sought after. Lund and Rudbeck both carry on the epic tradition of masterful Danish design.
