The Audo Échasse Bowl Amber explores the relationship between function and form through a simple yet distinctive silhouette. Designed by Theresa Rand, the generous amber glass bowl appears to float above its slender bronzed brass frame, creating a light, balanced presence despite its substantial proportions. Inspired by the elegant profile of laboratory glassware, the design brings warmth and character to dining tables, kitchen islands, consoles or coffee tables, where it can be styled with fruit, decorative objects or displayed as a sculptural object in its own right.

Materiality with purpose

The bowl is crafted from amber glass and supported by a bronzed brass stand that gives the collection its recognisable stilt-like appearance. The name Échasse, the French word for "stilts", reflects this elevated construction, which creates visual lightness while providing stability. Measuring 29.5cm in diameter and 14cm high, the bowl offers generous capacity without overwhelming a surface. Designed as part of the Échasse Collection, it reflects Theresa Rand's considered approach to materiality, proportion and enduring design.
