Designed by Thomas Bentzen, the Muuto Linear Pendant Lamp 87cm distils the collection’s distinctive horizontal form into a compact 87.2cm profile. Its slim lamp head creates a precise, graphic line within an interior, while the restrained suspension keeps the focus on the simplicity of the silhouette. Available in black or grey, the pendant has a clean aesthetic that works naturally alongside timber, stone and other considered material finishes. The shorter length makes it particularly suited to smaller dining tables, kitchen islands and spaces where a more compact linear pendant is called for.

Material and Form in Balance

The Linear Pendant Lamp combines a pressure-die cast and extruded aluminium lamp head with a powder-coated steel stem, creating a consistent finish across its streamlined form. A polycarbonate diffuser sits beneath the lamp head, while the 400cm PVC cord provides flexibility for suspension at different heights. Measuring 87.2cm long, 10.7cm wide and 5.4cm high, the design maintains a low, refined profile. Thomas Bentzen’s approach brings material, proportion and function together with clarity, resulting in a pendant defined by its direct and well-resolved design language.
