Atelier BL119 is a design studio, based in Saint-Étienne, France. Founded in 2007 by duo Grégory Blain and Hervé Dix Neuf, the studio works within industrial as well as spatial design.
'Our projects come from many influences, always in pursuit of harmony between form and function. We don’t really work in any defined way, projects appear to us through the lack of something, the desire to test a material, exploring new uses, revisiting objects or drawing them in another way. Our objects leave out the superfluous, finding solutions in detail, the objective is to stay simple and in the right shape. Our duet allows us to confront our points of view and learn to exchange. We orientate our reflections in a pragmatic way to create singular objects, which are useful and surprising.'
