Founded in Stockholm in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune, Claesson Koivisto Rune works across architecture, interiors and design. This multidisciplinary practice informs furniture that is structurally resolved and visually precise, with an understanding of how individual pieces relate to the spaces around them.

Claesson Koivisto Rune: From Architecture to Interiors

Claesson Koivisto Rune was founded as an architectural practice by Marten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune in Stockholm in 1995. The studio has since developed into a multidisciplinary practice spanning architecture, interiors, furniture and industrial design, allowing ideas developed at the scale of buildings and spaces to inform the design of individual pieces.

Claesson Koivisto Rune applies its architectural understanding of structure and construction to furniture design. In the studio’s timber seating, bentwood components and shaped plywood are used to define both the construction and appearance of the chair.
