Norm Architects: Simplicity and Substance
Founded in Copenhagen in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, Norm Architects is a multidisciplinary studio working across residential architecture, commercial interiors, industrial design, photography and art direction. This breadth allows the studio to consider individual objects as part of the spaces and environments in which they are used.
The name Norm reflects an approach grounded in established principles of architecture and design. Scandinavian traditions inform the studio's use of natural materials and enduring forms, while Modernist ideas of restraint and refinement influence its approach to proportion, detail and function. Rather than adding detail for its own sake, Norm Architects works towards designs in which materials, construction and form are carefully resolved.
Norm Architects has developed a longstanding relationship with Audo Copenhagen, contributing to the evolution of the brand as well as designing furniture, lighting and objects across its collection. The collaboration includes pieces ranging from the architectural forms of the Eave modular seating system and Plinth tables to Harbour seating, Hashira lighting and smaller objects for everyday use.
Across these different scales, the studio's work shares a consistent emphasis on material, proportion and simplicity. Explore designs by Norm Architects for Audo Copenhagen at Huset.
