Fiber Side Chair in Cognac Leather with Wood Base by Muuto

A warm expression of the Fiber silhouette

Designed by Iskos-Berlin for Muuto, the Fiber Side Chair brings together gentle curves and warm materials in a clean, armless profile. The shell flows from its rounded backrest into a softly shaped seat, creating the continuous silhouette characteristic of the Fiber collection. Cognac Refine leather gives the chair a rich, tactile surface, while the oak wood base introduces a lighter natural tone beneath. The slender, subtly angled legs complement the curves of the shell without competing with them, resulting in a balanced composition that works particularly well around a dining table or within other design-led interiors.

Natural materials meet an innovative shell

Beneath the cognac Refine leather upholstery, the Fiber shell uses Muuto’s innovative composite of wood fibres and 100% recycled plastic. This material approach gives the familiar shell-chair typology a distinctive foundation, while the oak wood base brings natural contrast to the upholstered seat. Plastic glides complete the base. The chair measures 77 cm high, 49.5 cm wide and 53 cm deep, with a 46 cm seat height and 45 cm seat depth. Together, the gently sculpted shell and fine wooden legs create an expression that feels warm, light and considered.
