Designed by Iskos-Berlin for Muuto, the Fiber Side Chair is defined by a fluid shell that curves gently from its rounded backrest into the seat. Without armrests, the silhouette feels open and visually light, while the cognac Refine leather brings warmth and tactile character to the pared-back form. Slender anthracite black tube legs create a crisp contrast with the upholstery, giving the chair a fine-lined foundation that keeps attention on the sculpted seat. Its compact proportions make it a considered choice around a dining table, where multiple chairs can sit comfortably without creating unnecessary visual weight.

Material innovation beneath the upholstery

The Fiber collection takes a distinctive approach to the familiar shell chair, using an innovative composite of wood fibres and 100% recycled plastic beneath the upholstery. This edition is fully upholstered in cognac Refine leather and supported by an anthracite black tube base with plastic glides. Measuring 77 cm high, 51 cm wide and 53 cm deep, the chair has a seat height of 46 cm and seat depth of 45 cm. The combination of curved upholstery and a slender metal base gives the design a clear contrast between soft and linear forms.
