Designed by Anderssen & Voll for Muuto, the Connect Soft Modular 2 Seater Sofa Configuration 1 brings a softer character to geometric modular seating. Two broad seat sections are framed by upholstered arms and gently rounded backrests, giving the sofa a balanced, enclosed composition while retaining the clean lines that define the Connect Soft collection. Muuto describes the series as a meeting of geometric proportions and deeply inviting comfort, an idea clearly expressed through this configuration’s substantial base, generous cushioning and low profile. Upholstered throughout in Clay 12, its tonal finish keeps the focus on form and proportion while bringing a tactile quality to the structured silhouette. The symmetrical two-arm design comfortably seats two people and works as a complete sofa in its own right, with the flexibility of belonging to a wider modular system.

Softness Built into the Structure

The Connect Soft Modular Sofa is constructed with seat and back frames made from FSC™-certified wood. Cold foam and wadding pad the back, while the seat combines zig-zag springs, felt, cold foam and wadding to create its deep, cushioned character. Metal brackets connect the modules, allowing Connect Soft elements to be combined into different layouts as needs or spaces change. This configuration measures 207 cm wide, 99 cm deep and 69 cm high, with a low 40 cm seat height and generous 66 cm seat depth. The proportions reinforce the sofa’s relaxed character, balancing substantial upholstered volumes with a clear, contemporary structure.
