Designed by Anderssen & Voll for Muuto, the Connect Soft Modular 3 Seater Sofa brings together three broad seating modules within a balanced, symmetrical composition. Its substantial base and clear geometric lines give the sofa an architectural presence, softened by deep seats, gently rounded backrests and upholstered arms at either end. The Clay 12 upholstery creates a cohesive tonal surface across the modular form, allowing subtle curves and changes in proportion to become part of the design. Comfortably seating three people, its generous 288 cm width makes it particularly suited to larger living rooms and open-plan spaces. Despite its scale, the low 69 cm profile keeps the sofa grounded and visually relaxed, capturing the Connect Soft collection’s considered meeting of structure and softness.

Comfort Shaped into the Structure

Connect Soft is conceived as a flexible modular system, with individual elements joined to create different seating compositions. The sofa’s seat and back frames are made using FSC™-certified wood, with the back padded in cold foam and wadding. Within the seat, zig-zag springs, felt, cold foam and wadding create the deep cushioning that gives the collection its inviting character, while metal brackets connect the individual modules. This three-seater measures 99 cm deep with a generous 66 cm seat depth and low 40 cm seat height, encouraging a relaxed seating position. The result reflects Anderssen & Voll’s approach to the collection: clearly defined modular architecture balanced by the comfort and tactile presence of upholstered furniture.
