Oliver Schick was born in 1969 in Darmstadt, Germany. After the studies of industrial design at HBK in Saarbrücken he worked as freelancer in the studio of Uwe Fischer / Frankfurt am Main. In 2001 he founded the designlable „thinktank..." (design, develop
ment and manufacturing of furnitures and lighting.) In 2005 he founded his own studio where he designs serial products for outside companies with a focus on furniture, lighting and interior - further experimental works to examine design-relevant topics,
such as materials, function, use, sustainability etc.
